Kona Cold Lobsters Products


Kona Cold Lobsters is Hawaii's source for live and fresh seafood. Established in 1987, Kona Cold Lobsters (KCL) has built a reputation for providing live Lobster and live Crab to the finest restaurants in Hawaii. Maine Lobster and Dungeness Crab are nurtured in pens filled with the nearly pathogen-free cold seawater available from the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii (NELHA), creating one of the largest live Maine Lobster holding facilities outside the Atlantic seaboard. Today KCL uses its husbandry expertise acquired doing aquaculture research to create a new standard in live Lobster quality.

The Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii (NELHA) is the home of Kona Cold Lobsters. This unique location and its deep seawater resource have attracted numerous other aquaculture companies, including Big Island Abalone, Royal Hawaiian Seafarms, Kona Blue Water Farms and Troutlodge Marine Farms. Abalone, Ogo Seaweed, Kanpachi, and Pacific white shrimp are purchased by Kona Cold Lobsters (KCL). The products are then packaged and distributed daily to over 100 active customers in the state of Hawaii including fine dining restaurants, resorts, hotels, supermarkets and independent gourmet chefs.
